my story

my story? my roots~ where I come from and how I got here...what you might want to know.....an offering...a stream of conscious flow~~~

in the beginning~

when I was around 3, or this is what I’m told, my parents were meditating in their room, and I ran in, all excited, telling them, "god is in everything!!!, god is in the trees, in the animals, in you ,in me.....in everything!!!!!" and then I ran out.....they almost thought it was a hallucination brought on by their practice, a deep happiness flushes through when i think of what must have gone through their minds in that moment...and now, still, realizing how far people travel from the innocent wisdom of  their natural conscious mind... we know, and we forget, to return again to the simple truth!!!!! the wisdom of a child ~

ok...so, a couple years later, their guru of TM, transcendental meditation, gave to me a walking mantra~ words to repeat while walking or running or playing to inspire a meditative bhava~or feeling in the mind and body while connecting with god, and, well, this explains EVERYTHING to me...inside a mischievous radiance awakens!!! I’m still using this "walking mantra", in moving meditation through prana vinyasa & in living yoga...it has evolved, and yet still....the roots are always the source~~~

and so, the seeds were planted, and originally I had imagined telling all the details, the synchronicities along the way that, as my dad used to say before he passed on, "lets us know that all is right in the universe", but why? to talk more about myself? there’s no need, so, simply, I will say this, the path that lays before me and the journey along the way, has been organically unfolding, and revealing itself ~ as I hone in my senses, I can see and hear more clearly~ I love yoga~ I love what yoga gives to me, and I love teaching as an offering to these gifts and insights in hopes to turn other people on to their own inner sources.....their own paths...their heart fire~~~ to expand on what was once thought to be impossible, and to realize the infinite possibilities~ and to have fun along the way~ allowing what begins as a "practice" to ultimately be a way of living yoga, with peace and unity as the dream that becomes reality through diving in ~~~ serving the whole~ my babies, and my babies babies~

my family~

my sva dharma  is deeply interwoven with my beautiful family~~~
naya is 14, cody is 12, and mateos is 4, I was driving home last night from teaching, and I read a sticker on the car in front of me, "discover wildlife, have children" I giggled to myself, its just true, full on and beautiful, I love being a mom, with the sweetness and the challenges, and I have such a love of a man, Eduardo carvalho,to share this experience with, mmmm~ gratitude and blessings in abundant love~ ~ ~

we live in bishop, California, and as young beach girl coming  up to ski in mammoth from san clemente, where I grew up, I used to wonder while we drove past bishop, "who would live in the middle of nowhere, like this?"  and now i know the answer, right? and it is amazing here, the mountains, the lakes, the open space... we climb (a lot!!!) and enjoy nature, gardening, and what this place has to offer with the whole small town mountain community vibe, I really do love it....we are blessed!!! and yes, missing the ocean~ its not too far though ~ and always in my heart!!!!!
